There are so many nem - hanem sentences in the Duolingo Hungarian course.
Examples:
A betegnek nem a csuklója fáj, hanem a bokája. A busz nem elöl van, hanem hátul. A busz nem osztrák, hanem angol. A busz nem ott van, hanem itt. A buszok nem elöl vannak, hanem hátul. A bálnák nem sekély folyókban úsznak, hanem mély tengerekben. A fiatal művésznő nem sétál, hanem táncol. A fiatal rendőr nem bent ül, hanem kint. A fiatal színésznő nem ezen a repülőgépen utazik, hanem azon a vonaton. A fiú nem a városban lakik, hanem a folyó mellett egy kicsi házban. A fiú nem lent van, hanem fent. A fiú és a lány nem az üzletben beszélgetnek, hanem a magas épületben. A fiúk nem bent vannak, hanem az iskola mellett. A fiúk nem kilépnek az ajtón, hanem kimásznak az ablakon. A francia repülőgép nem itt száll le, hanem ott. A fáradt munkások nem dolgoznak, hanem a falnál ülnek és pihennek. A magas tanár nem angol, hanem magyar. A magyar villamosok nem lilák, hanem sárgák. I would like to share some rules about nem-hanem sentences.
These sentences consist of two parts, and mean something like ’It is not X, but rather Y” where X and Y form some kind of contrast. X and Y can be two nouns, two places, two adjectives, two verbs, and so on.
Hanem is never alone, if hanem is used, there should be nem in the first part of the sentence. (This can also be a clue, when to use hanem, and when to use de, translating but.)
The placement of nem:
Nem is placed before the part of the sentence it negates. To find the correct place of nem, pay attention to the second part of the sentence too. The negated part forms a contrast with the hanem part.
Examples: Én nem a pincér vagyok, hanem a szakács. I am not the waiter, but the cook. Contrast: waiter versus cook, so nem is placed before pincér.
Nem én vagyok a pincér, hanem ő. It is not me who is the waiter, but him. Contrast: Me versus him, so nem is placed before én.
The placement of the verb: It can be either in the middle of the sentence or at the end. So, either after "nem X" or after "hanem Y".
A megálló nem itt van, hanem ott. A megálló nem itt, hanem ott van. (The stop is not here, but there.) Except of course when the contrast-pair consists of two verbs: Én nem állok, hanem ülök. (I am not standing, but sitting. )

Again, about the placement of the verb. Since we have contrast, put one of the contrasted parts "nem X" or "hanem Y" in the focus position, right before the verb. (and if you had verb a prefix, like be+száll, separate the verb prefix.)
Examples: (bold shows the focus, italic is the verb)
Nem a diákok vannak az új iskola előtt, hanem a tanárok.
Nem a diákok, hanem a tanárok vannak az új iskola előtt.
Nem a fekete autóba száll be az arab sofőr, hanem a sárga taxiba.
Nem a fekete autóba, hanem a sárga taxiba száll be az arab sofőr.
A fiú és a lány nem az üzletben beszélgetnek, hanem a magas épületben.
A fiú és a lány nem az üzletben, hanem a magas épületben beszélgetnek.
A megálló nem itt van, hanem ott.
A megálló nem itt, hanem ott van.
Nem a fiú megy be a házba, hanem a lány.
Nem a fiú, hanem a lány megy be a házba.
One more:
Nem a fekete autóba száll be az arab sofőr, hanem a sárga taxiba.
Here, the emphasized parts of the sentence are nem a fekete autóba and hanem a sárga taxiba. So one of these should be placed in front of the verb. "Nem a fekete autóba, hanem a sárga taxiba száll be az arab sofőr". also works.
(but *nem a fekete autóba az arab sofőr száll be, hanem a sárga taxiba does not work. )
And it should be száll be (not beszáll), because the part before the verb is emphasized
